Website Terms
These cover using this website. What the work itself is done under is set out in the Terms of Business.
1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of our website, pavelstechheaven.com — browsing the pages, reading about our services and prices, using the enquiry forms, and following links.
The website is operated by:
Pavels Kozemjakins, trading as Pavels Tech Heaven
34 Hope Street, Inverkeithing, KY11 1LW
hello@pavelstechheaven.com
07857 272679
We’re a sole trader business and we’re not VAT registered, so VAT isn’t added to the prices we show or quote.
By using the website you’re accepting these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.
2. Our other documents
Four separate documents cover four different things. This is the one about using the website.
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| These Website Terms | Using pavelstechheaven.com |
| Terms of Business | Contracts for the products and services we supply |
| Privacy Policy | How we handle personal information |
| Cookie settings | Your choice about website analytics |
If you become a customer, the Terms of Business govern that relationship — not this document. These terms are about the website itself.
3. Using the website
We provide the website on a reasonable basis and aim to keep it available and working properly.
We can’t promise it will always be available. Websites go down sometimes — for maintenance, because of a problem at our hosting provider, or for reasons outside anyone’s control. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted access, and we don’t promise the site will always be free of errors.
We may change the site. We can update, change, suspend or remove pages and content, including service descriptions and prices. Where we change prices or service details, those changes apply going forward — they don’t alter anything already agreed with a customer.
Access. We won’t restrict access for lawful ordinary use of the site. We may act where someone is using the website in the ways described in section 6.
4. Information on the website
We aim to keep everything on the site accurate and current.
Mistakes happen. If something is obviously wrong — a price, a description, a detail about a service — we can correct it. An obvious error on the website doesn’t oblige us to supply something at an incorrect price or on an incorrectly described basis. If you’ve enquired about something and we spot an error, we’ll tell you before anything is agreed.
Prices and details can change. Any change applies from the point we make it.
Already agreed work isn’t affected. If you’re a customer and we’ve agreed a quote or scope with you, that agreement stands. Changing the website doesn’t change what we’ve already agreed with you. Your contract is governed by your quote and the Terms of Business.
5. Information, not advice
The website includes practical information about technology, websites, IT and everyday security for small businesses.
It’s general information. It isn’t legal advice, it isn’t regulatory or compliance certification, and it isn’t a substitute for specialist advice where your situation genuinely needs it. Every business is different, and something written for a general audience may not fit yours.
This is about the website content, not our services. When you engage us for a piece of work, we look at your actual situation and give you advice based on it. That’s a different thing from reading a page, and the Terms of Business govern it.
6. Acceptable use
Use the website lawfully and sensibly. Please don’t knowingly:
- Introduce viruses, malware or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system
- Attack the site or try to disrupt how it works
- Misuse our enquiry forms for spam, fraud, harassment or anything unlawful
- Use automated activity that materially interferes with the site’s operation
None of this stops ordinary use. Search engines are welcome to index the site. Accessibility software — screen readers, keyboard navigation, browser zoom, magnification and similar — is normal use, and nothing here restricts it. Standard browser functions are fine.
7. Enquiry forms
Our forms are enquiry forms. They aren’t a checkout.
Submitting one doesn’t buy anything, doesn’t commit you to anything and doesn’t create a contract. The website doesn’t collect or store card details. Nothing is charged when you press send.
When you send an enquiry, we’ll get in touch about it. If we go on to agree work, that’s covered by the Terms of Business.
Marketing is separate. We’ll only send you marketing where you’ve chosen to receive it, through the channels you’ve chosen, or where we have another proper legal basis for doing so. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information you send us.
8. Our content
The copy, design, graphics, branding, layout and code on this website belong to us or to the people who license them to us.
You’re welcome to:
- View the site
- Print or save a reasonable copy of pages for your own reference
- Link to any public page
Please don’t, without asking us first:
- Republish a substantial amount of our content as your own
- Use our content commercially
- Remove ownership or copyright notices
- Use our branding in a way that could mislead people about who they’re dealing with
None of this affects your normal legal rights to quote or refer to our content — for example when reviewing, reporting or commenting on it.
Some things on the site aren’t ours. Third-party names, logos, trademarks and licensed assets belong to their owners, and nothing here claims otherwise.
9. Links
Links from our site. We link to other websites and services where it’s useful — Google, our payment provider, social platforms and others. We don’t control those sites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you’re on them, and a link isn’t necessarily an endorsement.
Links to our site. You’re welcome to link to any public page, as long as the link is lawful and doesn’t suggest something that isn’t true — such as a partnership, endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation that doesn’t exist. You don’t need to ask us first for an ordinary link.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to run the website securely.
No website can be completely secure, and we don’t claim ours is. We’d ask you to use up-to-date software and normal precautions at your end too.
Please don’t send us passwords, PINs, recovery codes or security keys through our forms or by message. We don’t need them and we don’t ask for them.
11. Our responsibility for website use
This section is about using the website. If you’re a customer, our responsibility for work we’ve done for you is covered by the Terms of Business, not here.
We don’t limit or exclude liability where the law doesn’t allow us to. That includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any statutory rights you have as a consumer that can’t be excluded.
Beyond that, general information published on the website is exactly that — general. It doesn’t promise you any particular result, and it isn’t a guarantee of search rankings, review numbers, enquiries, sales or freedom from security incidents. Where we make a commitment about work we do for you, that commitment lives in your quote and the Terms of Business.
12. Privacy and cookies
Personal information — how we collect and use it is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Analytics — we use Google Analytics, but only if you’ve accepted it. It doesn’t run unless you’ve said yes, nothing analytics-related is stored on your device before that, and you can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any change applies from when we publish it — it doesn’t apply retrospectively, and it doesn’t change a contract already agreed with a customer.
The date at the top shows when these terms were last updated.
14. Law and where disputes are dealt with
We’re based in Scotland, and these terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t take away the protection you have under the law of the part of the UK where you live. You can bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you’re based, and we’ll only bring proceedings against you there.
Otherwise, the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.
